Web Services are one approach to encapsulate modules of a distributed application in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). They are a key technology in enterprise application systems. I have conducted some research on how we can automatically combine different services to complex business processes. Such automation may be an enabler for resilient, robust, self-configuring, and self-healing application systems.
